Here’s why print power is here to stay

Why print power is here to stay

Here at Panda Press, we love all things print. With this in mind, we’ve decided to put together our top five reasons for choosing print to support business, market your brand and reach out to potential customers.

Print puts you in the hands of your clients

Literally. Print is tactile and tangible. Luxury paper stock that is lovely to the touch is perceived to be of far more value than a fleeting image on the screen. It is something to be enjoyed and experienced – especially when coupled with stunning design and a bespoke finish.

Print promotes understanding

Did you know that the human brain processes information on paper in a completely different way to the way it deals with text on a computer? A recent survey by Two Sides found that 84% of people believe that they understand and can retain or use information much better when they read print on paper.

Print is bold and beautiful

Nothing conveys colour as effectively as print. As printers we take beautiful effects for granted, but when our customers see the almost infinite range of hues, shades and splashes of colour we can reproduce, they’re often amazed. You name it, we create it.

Print is sustainable

Have you heard the one about how the only green office is a paperless office? It’s not true. While we’re not knocking the power of digital media (in fact, see our point below), paper does – quite literally – get a bit of a bad press.

In reality, paper is produced in such a sustainable and carefully controlled way that, thanks to a programme of replanting, European forests are now growing at a rate of more than 1,500 football pitches each day. Compare that to the aggregate electricity demand of the Cloud, which stood at 684 billion kWh in 2011, and you get the picture.

Print works with pixels

Print media can complement your existing digital marketing strategy, not fight it. A mailshot or leaflet can drive people to your website, while a brochure might inspire them to order one of your products online. What’s more, research has shown that adding print to an integrated marketing mix will increase the overall return on investment. What’s not to love?
